NEWS AND EVENTS 
 

  • Deputy governor of Armavir province Karen Grigoryan visited our center, got acquainted with the founders and had a discussion about future plans.
  • Lusine Antonyan a COAF Health program manager visited our center with some interns from YSMU. They checked the health of our residents and the elders of  our feed the elders program. We are grateful to Dr. Susanna Onanyan for making this cooperation happen.
  • Our container arrived in Armenia. All the residents and the staff helped the workers to unload the trucks. We thank all the donors in the USA for their generous donations.
  • Dr Jeannine Srourian visited our facility. She is the top eye doctor in Armenia who did the surgery on Marine’s eyes last year and now on Babik’s eye who is one of our “Feed the Elders” program participants for the last seven years.

MYRADOON

     
                 ALCF expanded its activities:

  •  We open Hair and nail salon for the women  who have studied hairdressing and practice in our salon for free of  charge.
  • Day Care for the children to keep them in a happy and safe environment while the mothers are at work. 
  • Our residents visited Yerevan Zoo. We express our gratitude to the directors of Yerevan Zoo for providing us with free tickets. 
  • We are grateful to Dr. Susanna Onanyan for arranging  Armenian Health Association of Bay Area to provide medications for our medical offices,  and  for her volunteer  services to give these medications out to our residents and the elders.

AID TO THE COMMUNITIS 
 

  • ALCF staff visited Republican hospital and surprised 64 mothers who had just delivered their babies with baby gifts and diapers.
  • ALCF support and give aid to Syrian immigrants, who had lost their homes and found shelter in Armenia.

HELP GIVE LIGHT TO OUR 84 YEARS OLD LONELY PAPIK

October 25, 2018

 

We need help to do a cataract surgery for one of our elders, who has been coming to eat at our location two days a week for the last 7 years. his sight kept on diminishing and finally he came one day and said “HELP, please, I cannot see”.
We took him to a doctor and it was decided that for now $1000. One eye needed a shot immediately, because of a rapture blood vessel and the other one cataract surgery.
Please help us raise the funds for him to do the surgery ASAP.

NEWS AND EVENTS 

We were delighted to welcome our founders Mr. & Mrs. Ghazarians, whose presence always brings a lot of joy and happiness not only to the staff and residents, but also to our elders. We welcomed them with music and dances.

The participants of “Feed the Elders” program and our residents took a tour to Ashtarak.  They had a lot of fun, enjoying delicious food with plenty of music and dances. The trip was sponsored by Serj Hovhannisyan and his family.

Our event of Baptism for the second  time this year  organized by our founders at ALCF chapel totaling 39 new cChristians. After the religious ceremony, newly Christians and guests enjoyed their time around the delicious tables. Best wishes to newly baptized ones in their journey of faith! 

GUESTS

 ALCF was full of guests. Armenian different families from all over the world visited our foundation and toured around the facility. We thank all the people who made donations and gave attention to our foundation.

MYRADOON

One of our residents delivered a baby boy. We warmly welcomed the mother and her newborn Gevorg.
Wishing her and the newborn many years of good health, love, and happiness!

AID TO THE COMMUNITIS 
 

ALCF continue its Light of Hope program. Our staff visited Aragats and Shaumyan villages in Armavir province and donated humanitarian aid to 80 families. We also visited kindergarten of Aragats village and gave clothing and toys to the children.

GUESTS AND NEWS

  • We hosted Terzians and their cousin Samir Serope from Dubai in our facility. 
  • Serzh Hovhannisyan’s family visited our foundation and toured around the center. We thank them for generosity which helped us to organize a tour for our elders and shelter residents to Ashtarak.
  • Our founders loaded a container with all kinds of goods, and it’s heading to Yerevan. We thank all the people for their generosity!

MYRADOON

During this month we welcomed our newborn baby girl Nare! She was born on August 18 and brought a lot of joy and happiness to the hearts of staff and residents.

We were happy to celebrate the birthdays of our little residents. Kids had a lot of fun with music and dances. Birthday boys got presents from the staff and were very happy!

WE EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE TO  

  • Samir Serope from Dubai who donated money for the dough maker and started sponsoring “Feed the Elders” program once a month.
  • Lux Med dental clinic and dentist Armine Kamalyan who provided dental care to our residents.
  • Hovig Megerdichian of Utah who managed to send us five hundred fifty blankets.
  • We thank Ani Simonian for arranging and sponsoring an event in Phoenicia restaurant in Glendale that brought over $5000 for the foundation.

AID TO THE COMMUNITIES

This time we visited two maternity hospitals in Yerevan and donated surprise packages to newborns (clothing and diapers). We are happy to bring a smile to the faces of 138 mothers and mothers-to-be!

We also visited №1 Old People’s home in Yerevan and donated clothes to 80 elders. We are blessed to have the opportunity to help those sweet people.

We continue providing Syrian refugees and needy families with different kind of goods.

 GUESTS AT ALCF CENTER IN ARMENIA
 

 
ALCF was full of guests!

  • The Hadjians,  Shiklanians,  Persekians, and the  Tutunjianswith their family members visited our facility. Our special gratitude goes to singer Kevork Hadjian who performed for our elders and residents. We also thank ZepurOhannessian, for bringing the guests  together at our center.
  • A group of 18 people visited ALCF and toured around the facility. They also joined us for distribution of aid to 99 families in Nor Amanos village, Aragasotn region.
  • Levon & Marine Baghdasaryans came to our center. They were the sponsors of “Feed the Elders”program. Their children served our elders.We also express our gratitude to them for purchasing ice maker for our kitchen.

We are thankful to all the guests for choosing our foundation to spread their love and support to the underprivileged people. It was a great example of philanthropy, particularly for the children.

NEWS

Our founders Mr. & Mrs. Ghazarian donated Holy Chrism Dove Stock to St. Mariam Astvatsatsin Church in Parakar. For over 7 years we as a large family of residents and children take part of the  holly liturgy ceremony in this church every Sunday. Ter Partev Ashuryan faithfully serves  our center residents and our elders  all these years by giving Bible Study classes every Friday. In addition  people from surrounding villages  come to listen to the Word of God and deepen their relationship with their Christian faith.WE THANK FATHER PARTEV ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE, FOR HIS COMMITTED SERVICE!

MYRADOON

We celebrated Vardavar-the most expected holiday of the summer, with great enthusiasm. 
All our shelter and post-shelter residents gathered together and started massive water fight! 
They all really enjoyed the festive day!
Our shelter resident Sofi took courses of hair-styling for a whole yearand got a certificate of excellence. Now she uses her skills and beautifies hair of our residents and elders.
Our residents, under the guidance of volunteer Zepur Ohannessian from the US, created expressive and beautiful handicraft products in our sewing room.

Our founders held an appreciation luncheon at their residence on July 29th to honor our supporters.
Our founder/executive director Mrs. Seta Ghazarian thanked all our volunteers and donors for their generous assistance and help to keep our community healthy, well, and working!
Almost 120 people were present. Some of the guests who visited our facility in Armenia shared their impressions with others. The participants enjoyed the delicious food and dessert specifically prepared for them.Our residents’ handicrafts were given as gifts to the guests with attached lottery tickets. Lottery was played and lucky winners got two large bags made by our women and two large paintings from Armenia. Guests also watched some latest videos about ALCF activities.
THE APPRECIATION LUNCHEON is our way to thank people who are example of outstanding volunteerism, philanthropy and collaboration!

EVENTS  & GUESTS
 

We started the month with a very joyful event. We celebrated  June 1st  International  Day for protection of children.  Our children were invited to a museum, then a  restaurant, where they played lots of interesting games and competitions and enjoyed delicious food.
Ani & John Cinquegrani from Mesrobian school group  donated funds for the children. We organized a picnic for the shelter residents where we served American style hamburgers, French fries and salad, Watermelon and candy for dessert. Post shelter mothers and children joined us as well.
We thank Ani and John for making this happen.
 

 

 

We hosted Ani Simonian from Glendale, CA. She was the sponsor of luncheon of “Feed The Elders” program. We toured around the facility and she got acquainted with our elders and shelter residents.  Then she donated  lots of medication to our medical rooms for our elders and residents. We are grateful to Ani Simonian for donating the medication and HI-AM Charity Foundation president Nshan Adjemian for providing them. 
Fuller center visited our facility with their group members, heading by Leo and Sona Manuelian. They toured and had lots of questions. They were all excited with our activities.
Father Karekin Bedourian with his family also visited us.They were very emotional for all the work we do for the underprivileged people. They were joined with both parents from Kessab. Our gratitude goes to Saro’s company and Vartug Kazanjian  for all their heartfelt donations to our Foundation.

 

 

AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
 

ALCF distributed humanitarian aid to 70 underprivileged families in Lusagyugh village, Armavir province. We provided them with bags full of clothing, shoes, toys and other necessary items. ALCF continues its charity work. Another time our staff went to Nor Kyanq village in Ararat province. 80 underprivileged families received humanitarian aid.

NEWS  & GUESTS
 

  • This month we took our elders and our residents totaling 75 count to Garni & Geghard by a bus and our van. Armine the chef, Liana the psychologist, Nelly Mrs. Seta’s assistant and our founder Seta Ghazarian were the coordinators of this trip. It was once in a life time to most of our elders and our residents. They enjoyed the trip, the scenery and the food by singing and dancing and praising the Lord and blessing us all specially our sponsor of this trip Seta Kurdahi of Irvine. We are grateful to the Kurdahi family for sponsoring these trips  a second year in a raw.

 

  • MESROBIAN SCHOOL OF MONTEBELLO students visited our center with their principle and parents headed by Zepur Ohannesian. 
    They sponsored “Feed the Elders” program. They served elders in the lunch-room and helped in the kitchen. Toured around the facility, played with our children, and enjoyed a hot delicious meal prepared for them.
    The students stayed more than 3 hours, loving and communicating with the resident’s children and left the facility with tears promising to come back and volunteer in our facility.
  • Our container that was sent by our founders from the US arrived in our warehouse. We thank all the donors and sponsors for making this happen.

 

 

 

 

AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
  

  • We visited #1 old age home in Erevan where the most patients were bed ridden. Anahit Ananian joined our staff to distribute clothing where it was terribly needed. 
    They were 80 patients who received us with smiles and love as they are the neglected and lonely elders.

 

  • 80 needy families in Yeghegnadzor received humanitarian aid. 
    This time we didn’t go to the mayor’s office as we were invited by Antonie Terjanian who organized the distribution in his own garage. 
    We want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Terjanians for hospitality and enjoyable time that we spent together.
  • We continue to give present packages to maternity hospitals. We went to two hospitals- Republican maternity Hospital and Astghik medical center and distributed newborn clothing and diapers to 111 infants and pregnant women.

NEWS & EVENTS 
 

In the USA, Dr & Mrs Pezeshkian were generous enough to have our April event at their residence ,we are very grateful . It was a very successful event over 90 guests were present.
We are honored that council woman Paula Devine, Mayor of Glendale city Zareh Sinanyan and city clerk Ardashes Kassakhian were present.
 In Armenia,we are grateful to all the participants that they have chosen ALCF as one of the organizations they support.
We had a spring hantes in Ghazarian kindergarten in Ptghunq village. It was the first time with the new principal and the children were very excited. Mrs. Seta was invited, she gave lots of donated toys from ALCF warehouse to kindergarten’s playroom; which was built by Mr. Zuhrab . Mrs. Seta was presented with flowers.
 

 

We express our gratitude 

 We express our gratitude to “AHABA” Armenian Health Association of Bay Area) and Dr. Elena Sagayan who donated funds to purchase medication for our medical office in ALCF center in Armenia. We thank Dr. Onanyan for purchasing the medication and volunteering to check and give these medications as needed to our elders and residents for all their medical needs.
We also thank Mariam Manoukian for delivering these funds to Dr. Susanna Onanyan.

 

MYRADOON
  

We had a special performance in our center by our children. Prepared by former music teacher of our kindergarten. The love was in the air. The children were all excited and the founders enjoyed watching the children.
We baptized 17 people in our church chapel. 
One of them was from our “Feed the Elders” program. After religious ceremony, we prepared a table full of sweets, juice, pop-corn, fruit and they danced to the music.We gave beautiful presents to children and their mothers. May this day bring a never-ending peace and joy to our residents and their children. 
 
AID TO THE COMMUNITIES

 

  • ALCF restarted the program (gifts to the new born). We take packages to different maternity hospitals in Armenia.
    We went to Ejmiatsin hospital and surprised moms giving newborns clothing and diapers. Another day we went  to Astghik MC and Repablican hospital. About 250 newborns received packages.
  • The director of Caroline Cox Rehabilitation center of Stepanakert Artsakh Vardan Tadevosyan visited our center with Dr. Seda Boghossian from London. Dr Boghossian is a regular supporter of our shelter residents and our elders medical needs. We donated lots of medical and urology supplies to the rehabilitation center where our injured soldiers get rehab treatment.Our gratitude goes to Dr Hakop Dikiranian of Montebello CA, who donated all these Urology supplies that are very much needed in Stepanakert.
  • This month we visited Aragatsotn province to distribute humanitarian aid to 100 needy families.  Another long-lasting trip we had in Shirak province, Shirak village where 120 needy families received aid. It took 4 hours to get there.

EVENTS 

  • We celebrated Women International Day – March 8th in our center. We made the day amazing both for our shelter residents, and the participants of “Feed the Elders” program. The elders danced with staff members and enjoyed their day. We gave presents to all of them.
    We are grateful to:
  • Luys TV and Haykakan Zham daily newspaper for Recording and writing the entire celebration.
 
  • Armenia Tree Project /ATP/ who donated us evergreens and we planted them in our garden.
  • Our founders in the US for packing and preparing the merchandise, loading the container while it was raining, and sending it to the shipyard, to be loaded on the ship, heading to Yerevan. The founders and the volunteers blessed the Lord for the wonderful feeling, witnessing the container leave to Armenia. We thank all who donated, new Jeans and clothing, wheelchairs, kitchens-ware and more to make this happen.

 

MYRADOON
  

Residents started working in the green house, soon we will have lots of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. We promote the work of the green house. Teach most of our residents how to grow and maintain vegetable crops.We also celebrated Easter. Our residents went to church, played egg hunt, and afterwards they gathered around the table which was full of Easter goodies:

 

 

 

AID TO THE COMMUNITIES

We continue to help underprivileged families. We distributed humanitarian aid to Kanachut village in Ararat province, another visit was in Hovtamej village in Armavir province, almost 160 families got the aid- they received clothing, shoes, toys and many other necessary items.
