Monthly Newsletter November 2020

NEWS & EVENTS

The war finally ended and the Armenians had quite a stressful month. ALCF went on helping the people of Artsakh and also did its best for the residents of the shelter.

  • The foundation took in 50 people from Artsakh and continues helping them. We distribute whatever they need. Warm clothes, shoes, hygiene supplies, food. As it is already winter, we pay their gas, electricity and water bills as well.ALCF is always standing by their side.
  • In November the foundation received a cheese donation from “Umcor Armenia” CF. We are thankful for the donation especially now that we have to feed not only the residents of ALCF but also  Artsakh people.

MYRADOON

  • We moved the residents of Post Shelter to the main building to give the homes to Artsakh families. Now they are residents of the shelter again. They are saving money by not having to pay for food and utilities and are mastering their skills and knowledge. They participate in English and Computer classes, Sewing and Manicure classes.
  • During November we have received many calls from the victims of domestic violence. We accepted newcomers at ALCF. As a matter of pandemic they stayed isolated for 14 days and then joined the mothers of the main building.

AID TO COMMUNITIES

  • ALCF continues “Ray of Light” program and provides people with humanitarian aid. The foundation distributes warm clothes, blankets, shoes, boots, hygiene supplies and kitchen wares. We do the same to the families of Artsakh living in Armenia.
  • The foundation goes on giving monetary help in the framework of the “Sponsor a Family” program.
  • ALCF continues visiting hospitals and distributing newborn care packages to the new mothers.
