GUESTS & NEWS
This time of the year ALCF is full of guests. People from different corners of the world come to see and tour the facility. They all leave the center very impressed with the lovely atmosphere and the activities that the foundation does.
- Fuller Center visited our facility with 10 of their participants guided by Gohar. They toured and had lots of questions. They were all flabbergasted with our activities and were emotional with shelter residents. We prepared a dessert and fruit table for them.
- Hratch Jaburian, Seta & Varujan Mesropian, Vahag & Seta Mesropian visited us as well. Last time they visited our center years ago. All their emotions and impressions very pleasantly multiplied this year, seeing so many programs added and so many things progressively changed.
Every guest visit energizes us and every donation is very important for our foundation as with your help we are able to support more and more people. - La Can~ada high school students as well as Pasadena students and mothers joined hands, and packed all the merchandise that was donated to ALCF at Alta Dena location. We thank the Chatoians for giving us the space to collect and do the packing at the location.
ALCF in the frame of its “Light of Hope” program continues to visit different villages of Armenia.
This time the turn came for the two villages of Lori province. We drove 2 and half hours to get there.
The villagers of Tsaghkaber and Katnajur were waiting for us. In each village we gave aid to 110 families (together 220 families).
Our shelter residents are very busy not only with their vocational trainings but also some of them are working near the village.
Those who are working now and somehow can live independently but still need our oversight are going to be transferred to Post Shelter units to open space for the new comers.
We continue birthday celebrations.
Before the parties all our little residents have fun painting their faces with the looks of cartoons heroes.
We had a seminar on the topic “Women’s involvement in the local governmental life”.
Arevashat village mayor Susanna Gevorgyan and her staff held the seminar.
Our residents and staff participated in the seminar as well, actively inquiring about the issues that they were mostly interested in. Father Partev did holy liturgy (patarak) in our St Mary’s church on our premises. All our residents, the participants of “Feed the Elders” program and people from neighboring villages were present. The liturgy participants took holy communion.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DO THIS WORK. PLEASE SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS WITH THE UNFORTUNATE….
We are an open Shelter, Please come and visit our facility.
Make your donations to where it counts, and make a difference in the lives of our residents…
