EVENTS & MYRADOON
This month was full of joyful events and celebrations!!!
- Our Founder/Executive Director Seta Ghazarian came to Armenia. She brought gifts and joy to our center. It’s always amazing to see Mrs. Seta in our center.
- We celebrated Palm Sunday in Parakar church. Our founder brought with her 200 crosses made of palm leaves from America. The ladies of the 40 Martyrs church gifted those to us through Maro Tufenkjian a friend of Mrs. Seta. All the parishioners enjoyed wearing these crosses. It was something new to experiencein Armenia.
- We also celebrated Easter. Our residents went to church and afterwards they gathered around the table which was full of Easter goodies.
- With our assistant managers, the residents of Myradoon, 17 mothers and 26 children went to Yerevan State Puppet Theater and had a great and unforgettable time.
AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
We continue our humanitarian work. The team of ALCF with Seta Ghazarian and the sponsors do their best to solve the problems of the needy who come to our doors. This month our staff went to Vartanashen village in region Armavir and distributed aid to 85 families.
As soon as Mrs. Seta came to Armenia she went to Darpnik village where lots of Syrian – Armenians live. We give special attention to the problems of Syrian refugees and do our best to give a helping hand to all the Syrians.
OUR GRATITUDE GOES TO
- Armenian Tree Project /ATP/ for donating 250 evergreen.
- Twenty volunteers from UN Armenia for joining ATP and helping us with the tree planting.
- Arsine Sahakyan and Armine Baghdasaryan from Vision International People group for organizing seminar for our residents and staff about health and hygiene.
