Monthly Newsletter December 2015
MYRADOON
Residents always increase in number in the month of December because of the cold weather and holidays. A woman who has 3 children came to our center but only with two. one was left behind with relatives. She was abused both psychologically and physically by her husband. Now her husband is in jail because of raping underaged girls and robbery. Her older son who is 9 has problems.Seeing all these abuse, never been to school, beats his mother and cannot interact with children, our psychologist works both with him and the mother to overcome this situation.

Though the shelter is full of mothers and children, love and friendly attitude governs. We have a very healthy atmosphere in our center. This month one of our residents delivered a baby girl with C-section. She was named Margarita.
We also celebrated our youngest resident’s 40 days being on Earth… she is offered to our Lord to be blessed..
We invited a clown and cartoon heroes and celebrated Christmas with residents and “Sponsor a Family” program participants.
At the end of the year we organized a great festivity for our residents and gave them a traditional Armenian New Year’s eve, with lots of food and gifts.
PROGRAMS
We are happy to announce that an anonymous donor pledged and donated a second luncheon per week for “Feed the Elders” program for the entire 2016. It was a great undertaking. We have changed the lunch day, now it’s on Tuesdays and Fridays.
We continue our Bible Study classes with the leadership of Father Partev of Parakar’s St. Mary’s Church. Every Friday lots of Christians from neighboring villages come to our center.
Our volunteer doctors continue their charity work.
AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
We are blessed that we are able to provide the underprivileged people, who send us letters of requests, with clothes, shoes, bags and other necessary items thanks to our supporters.
We continue to help Syrian refugees who come to our doors.
We distributed our monthly sponsorship funds for January, end of December. Gave them clothes, milk and tea.
