MYRADOON

         This month was full of joyful events and celebrations!!!

• We celebrated Easter. Our residents went to church and afterwards they gathered around the table which was full of Easter meals. During our “Bible Study”, father Partev explained the essence of Easter. He spoke about the religious values that are important for us, and highlighted the importance of Easter in our Christian life.

 

• Two children from Nork orphanage joined their mother!!!

Recently a new pregnant girl came to our center. Later we found out that two of her children were in the orphanage.

We turned to Yerevan municipality with a letter of request to get the children to join the mother. After long and hard arguments with the orphanage and the municipalities, not wanting to release the children to their mother, for financial profits, we won .The children joined their mother, and they are a family again. Living together in our shelter.

Thank God for his Blessings!

This month our underage pregnant girl became 16 years old, and our staff organized her Birthday party. Our residents enjoyed their day and had lots of fun.  In April 26 she delivered a baby girl.

• Our residents work in our Green House and participate in cleaning the environment. We give much importance to work. We teach them some skills to be financially independent. Only by honest work they can earn their living and get on their feet in this life.

 

We continue to help everybody who is in need!!!

As usual, this month as well, we received a lot of letter of requests, list of extended families from the communities who need clothes, shoes, bags and other necessary items.     We continue our “Sponsor a family”, “Bible Study” and “Feed The Elders” programs. Please continue to help us help these needy Armenians who are in desperate need !

Our residents visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex in Armenia  and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.

 

                                          USA News

The AYF Orange County “Ashod Yergat” Chapter organized a community forum: Domestic Violence in Armenia. Speaker: Seta Ghazarian.

Our executive director spoke about domestic violence, and the cases that we have had in our shelter, and the whole work that ALCF does for the residents.

Our  #‎21container was filled with all your donated merchandise, now heading to Armenia by ship. It was very exciting and rewarding experience, as usual!
