MYRADOON
We continue our vocational training and added new hairstyling classes in our Myradoun. The residents are very happy to learn one more profession. We do our utmost to have a positive effects on the lives and well being of our residents and their children. We teach them to appreciate their God-given gift of motherhood. We give them a place to thrive. These women are given the hope and faith that their lives will improve. This month we saved a family by working with the husband and the woman, Father came to take his family home. What a Blessing!
We took our residents and their children to the Circus and then toured the city with our van. Most of the residents had never been to the City Yerevan and were so excited to see the Republic Square .They had seen it on TV and always dreamed of being there.
BIBLE STUDY
We continue our Bible Study classes with the leadership of Armenian Apostolic church priest. January 6th Father Partev did the Christmas celebration, the water Blessing (Jrorhneq) and blessed the whole center. All our residents plus people from neighboring villages attended the ceremony. He also blessed our new director’s office, our food and then we celebrated the birth of Jesus and his Baptism. Thank God for his blessings!!!
AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
This month we visited Akunq a village in Aragatsotn region. Our Light of Hope program continues giving aid to different communities in villages as well as different individuals who turn to us with their letters of requests. Agunq villagers received bags of clothes, shoes, toys. We gave walkers, canes, diapers, and bedside toilets for their handicap members. We also gave aid to Armavir’s church diocese 50 families. The Foundation did everything to meet their needs. We have also given wedding gowns to brides-to-be in many different villages. Syrian families’ immigrants come to our doors and we provide them with everything that they need. Our “Feed The Elders” and “Sponsor a family” programs are going on full force, because of people like YOU who make it a reality.
Our deep gratitude to our volunteer dentists that come every week to provide treatment to our residents and their children in our dental facility. We also thank Dr. Yeva Torosyan for taking such wonderful care of all the ’s gynecological needs, Thank you to Dr. Susanna Onanyan a family doctor for treating both our residents and the participants of “Feed The Elders” and “Sponsor a family” programs. We thank Dr Raffi Chalian of California for his donation to buy a cleaning machine for our dental room.
We restructured our staff to meet the needs of the public. We appointed two new managers for the different services we provide. These changes to our management are our effort to rise to the challenge — provide more services to even more people in an efficient and cost effective manner.
