GUESTS
July was an extremely busy month for ALCF. Our founders came to Armenia! And every day since they arrived, they have been striving to make the life of the Shelter residents more interesting and productive through new programs and initiatives. Our deepest gratitude to all those who visited us and donated funds and other necessities. Our guests have a very positive effect on our Residents. They stop thinking about their problems and feel loved and cared for.
MYRADOON
Myradoonis full of life. Our residents are always busy. We are happy to announce that Myradoon has a newborn girl, her name is Nelly. We celebrated Armenian Vardavar: it’s a festive occasion when people splash water on each other. During sewing lessonsMrs.Araxi from Abu Debi came to our center and taught our residents how to cut patrons & sew. They sewed lots of nice dresses for themselves. As soon as our founders came to Armenia they organized baptism ceremony. We celebrated the baptism of thirty people. Children with their mothers and grandmothers, ten of which were the residents of our center. Miss Kristine from Studio City CA, came and taught English to our residents as a volunteer.
AID TO THE COMMUNITIES
ALCF continues its light of hope program. We go to border villages and distribute necessary items to families in need.This month we gave aid to Mrgashatkindergarten . We gave assistance to Russian language and lecture veterans union. We also continue to give aid to individuals and families from remote villages that write to us for help. We distribute clothing, blankets, wedding gowns, shoes, toys, walkers, wheelchairs bedside toilets, and household necessities from our warehouse.
This month as usual we distributed our monthly sponsorship funds and gave clothes, baby food to each member of the sponsored families.
