NEWS & EVENTS
- Recently, the residents of ALCF had the honor of attending the re-consecration of the Mother Cathedral. Today, as the Cathedral reopened its doors, we stand with renewed faith, believing in the power of prayer and unity.
- On October 8, Etchmiadzin celebrated the 2709th anniversary of its foundation with a day full of exciting events! The celebrations culminated in a magnificent concert by Saro Tovmasyan and the Karen-Sevak band, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories. What made this celebration even more special was the participation of our shelter residents. They joined the festivities and had an amazing time, dancing, singing, and socializing with others.
- The incredible staff of Courtyard by Marriott Yerevan Hotel paid us a heartwarming visit within their “Cultural Week” program, bringing not only smiles and joy but also generous donations for our residents. Their thoughtfulness and care were truly touching, as they arrived with large amounts of food.
- The residents of ALCF were blessed to experience the magic of Ghapama, a beloved Armenian dish that brings warmth and joy to every table! Our wonderful foundation residents came together to taste traditional pumpkin dish, and it was truly special thanks to the love and care put into it by the talented and beautiful Hermine.
MYRADOON
- The residents of ALCF continue to take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure and hairdressing classes and cooking classes. Through these programs, residents of ALCF are not only acquiring new skills but also building a sense of community and support, enhancing their overall quality of life.
- ALCF has remained steadfast in its mission to ensure that women and their children have access to a safe shelter where they can find refuge from dangerous situations. We believe that every woman and child deserves to live free from fear and violence. Together, we can create a safer community and provide the necessary resources for healing and empowerment.
- We celebrated the birthday of our little resident Gevorg at ALCF. He is a very cherished member of our center, and we were thrilled to celebrate his special day with him!
- Our talented cook at ALCF brought a taste of Armenia to our foundation with a special dish: khash! This traditional Armenian soup is a beloved staple, especially during the colder months.
AID TO COMMUNITIES
- The center goes on helping needy families, displaced families of Artsakh by providing lavash(bread) from our bakery, clothes, blankets, shoes, hygiene supplies and kitchen-ware.
- $32 will supply 200 lavash for the hungry and the poor. Please donate and mention Lavash.
- In the framework of “Sponsor a Family” program ALCF continues distributing monetary aid.
