MYRADOON

 The festive atmosphere in January continued as Father Partev did the water Blessing (Jrorhneq) in our church, the Holly Mariam Astvazazin Church. Not only did all our residents attend but also residents of neighboring villages. After the ceremony the priest blessed our food and our girls sat at the table and celebrated the birth of Jesus and his Baptism.

It’s a sad fact that “hot line’s” calls have increased tremendously. There is much violence in Armenia, particularly its outer regions due to lack of information, education and geographical position. This is one of the reasons why when we visit villages in the frames of our Light of Hope program we give them not only humanitarian aid but also a little information about human  rights and different kinds of abuse.

Former residents who gave birth in our center, or just lived and received education, now visit us, having a great understanding about motherhood. They receive not only material aid but also spiritual and psychological help. In this way the foundation fulfills one of its main goals: “ Let no child go to orphanage”.

CLASSES

Our lessons are very productive and useful.  They become more and more interesting for the young women and community residents. The residents have become more professional and ask for enhancements. They already can write letters .We also give classes for cooking, sewing, manicure and pedicure. Our volunteer doctors continue their services as well. Our “FEED THE ELDERS” and “BIBLE STUDY” programs are continued weekly. We need sponsors for the Feed the Elders program Please!!!!!

 CHARITY

The foundation wants to express its deep gratitude to Armenian Caritas for their donation. Because of such kinds of generosities we are able to carry out foundation’s work. Part of the donation we gave to the kindergarten that’s under our sponsorship.                                      This month our foundation provided three disabled young men with wheelchairs and two disabled men with walkers. We also continue to supply the underprivileged families who ask for help with clothes, shoes, hygienic items, baby food and other things.
