NEWS & EVENTS

  • The residents of ALCF with all Armenians around the world celebrated Trndez, a beautiful tradition marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This ancient festival is filled with joy, laughter, and the lighting of bonfires symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness.
  • The Members of the Child Evangelism Fellowship visited ALCF. They sang holy songs and played many indoor games with our little ones.
  • The amazing members of Aralez Scouts paid a special visit to ALCF! They brought joy and laughter as they prepared fun games for our little ones to enjoy. It was heartwarming to see our children’s faces light up with happiness! To top it off, the Aralez Scouts generously gifted our little ones with some wonderful surprises at the end of the day.
  • We’re thrilled to announce that our beloved Bible study class is continuing strong, every Friday, with the blessings of the esteemed priest Father Partev, with the enthusiastic participation of children, mothers from our center, and several representatives from our vibrant community. Together, we’re exploring the timeless wisdom contained within the pages of the Bible, nurturing our faith, and strengthening our bond with each other and with God.

  • ALCF continues conducting vocational trainings for the residents:  With the help of the lessons they gain new skills and self-confidence to take charge of their lives.
  • Our little residents had an adorable Valentine’s Day photoshoot, and the results are absolutely heart-melting! Seeing their bright smiles and happy giggles reminded us all that love knows no bounds and it’s the little moments like these that truly make life beautiful.
  • Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed an incredible transformation as residents and staff alike have come together to cultivate our very own green oasis right here at ALCF.  
  • This month we celebrated the birthdays of Arman and Ashot. All the residents of ALCF wished them a year ahead filled with amazing experiences, growth, and countless reasons to smile.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • The residents of ALCF celebrated New Year with great enthusiasm and joy. They received the presents made by the foundation, sang and danced. The little residents of the foundation sang and quoted poems for Santa Claus and got their presents. The atmosphere was warm and full of happiness.
  • On Christmas evening January 5th our residents went to St. Mary’s Church in Parakar, participated in the Light ceremony and the Holly Liturgy, when they came back to the center, the Christmas supper was waiting for them.
  • The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated St. Sargis feast day on January 27 this year. The feast day is not only celebrated by a church service, prayers, but also folk traditions․ On the eve of the feast, young people eat salty cookies hoping their future bride or bridegroom will give them water in their dream. The residents of ALCF also decided to join this beautiful tradition and made salty cookies.
  • The residents of ALCF congratulated our nation, officers, soldiers, and all military servicemen on the anniversary of the army. They wished them good health, high fighting spirit, peace, and prosperity.

 

MYRADOON

  • ALCF continues conducting vocational trainings for the residents: English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing, and cooking They master these skills and become more self-confident.
  • Our talented young residents of ALCF gathered for an incredible art class that left everyone buzzing with creativity! This time, they delved into the fascinating world of scratching, unleashing their artistic spirits in a unique and engaging way.
  • At ALCF, we believe in fostering a holistic approach to care, ensuring not just the physical well-being of our residents but also nurturing their spiritual peace. Every Sunday, we embark on a special journey with our residents to the nearest churches, creating a sacred space for reflection, connection, and tranquility.
  • This month we celebrated the birthdays of Naira (mother) and our young resident Sargis. All the members of ALCF enjoyed the birthday cake and party wishing them many colorful and healthy days.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • The residents of ALCF visited the Memorial of Musa Ler and the sacred resting place of the brave soldiers from Musaler and Ptghunk villages who made the ultimate sacrifice defending Artsakh.
  • The members of Child Evangelism Fellowship visited our center. The little residents of ALCF sang Christmas songs, played various interesting games with the members. Our little ones always look forward for them to come.
  • Our center continues its mission to care for and support the elders from our beloved community through the “Feed the Elders” program. This time we prepared New Year program for them which included songs, dances with Santa Claus and meal. At the end we gave them beautiful gifts.
  • We extend our sincere appreciation to the Yerevan Dramatic Theatre, Yerevan State Puppet Theater, and Yerevan State Youth Theater for providing free tickets for the residents of ALCF and their commitment to making the arts accessible to all, regardless of age or circumstance.
  • ALCF was invited to the New Year event of the kindergartens of Ptghunk and Musaler villages. It was a very happy and warm atmosphere. ALCF, in turn, prepared beautiful gifts for the kids.

MYRADOON

  • ALCF continues holding English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing, and cooking classes for the residents of ALCF to provide them skills and to facilitate their future life․
  • Our little residents poured their hearts into decorating the Christmas tree, turning it into a sparkling masterpiece of joy and love.
  • This year, the little residents of ALCF decided to do something different. Instead of the usual requests for toys and sweets, they penned letters filled with a different kind of wish – a wish for peace in our country.
  • This month we celebrated the birthdays of Ani (mother) and our young residents Hamlet, Suren, Rafayel.
  • May this year bring you all endless happiness, unforgettable memories, and all the love you deserve.
  • The little residents of ALCF came together to celebrate Christmas in the most delightful way—by decorating Christmas cookies! Our little ones worked diligently to transform plain cookies into festive masterpieces. Cookie cutters shaped like stars, Christmas tree and little men were used to craft edible works of art that reflected the pure joy and imagination of the day.

NEWS & EVENTS 

  • The residents of ALCF visited an art gallery functioning in the former Etchmiadzin Cinema building, where exhibited are the works of the Armenian-American sculptor and painter Khoren Der-Harootian.
  • The Members of the Child Evangelism Fellowship visited ALCF. They had prepared an interesting program about autumn, which included craft, songs and games.
  • The little residents of ALCF had a blast celebrating Thanksgiving Day. Our little ones crafted the most heartwarming thank-you cards for their amazing moms and the incredible staff at ALCF. It was a beautiful way to express their appreciation for all the love and care they receive every day.
  • ALCF was honored to be part of an enchanting autumn-themed event at the Ptghunk Kindergarten, named after  “Mr. and Mrs. Ghazarians.” Kids made autumn even more colorful with their songs and poems.

 

MYRADOON 

  • Our residents are actively engaging in a diverse array of skill-building classes, including English, computer skills, sewing, manicure, hairdressing, and cooking. It’s more than just learning new skills; it’s a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
  • The young and vibrant residents of ALCF embarked on a colorful journey of creativity in our special art class exploring the enchanting world of playdough magic! Playdough became a magical medium, allowing them to dream, create, and share their unique visions with the world.
  • This month we celebrated the birthdays of two of our little members – As Norik and Nerses blew out the candles on their cakes, they were surrounded by the love and well-wishes of their ALCF family.
  • The residents of ALCF with our talented cook, gathered together for pickling vegetables that promises to bring a burst of flavor to our winter meals.

NEWS & EVENTS  

  • On October 1st a Special Order of prayer was held in support of Artsakh and Artsakh Armenians in the St. Trdat Open Altar of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. The residents of ALCF also joined our fellow Armenians across the nation in solidarity, standing together for peace and justice.
  • ALCF wants to extend heartfelt thanks to all generous donors who have opened their hearts to support with food, lavash and hygiene supplies to the Artsakh refugees in our close villages.
  • Every Friday, we come together to dive into the wisdom and teachings of the Bible. It’s a time for reflection, discussion, and growth in faith. On Sundays, we take our residents to Church for a beautiful and uplifting Mass. It’s a time for prayer, praise, and being in the presence of God.

 

MYRADOON 

  • Vocational trainings are in full swing, and our residents are actively participating in various skill-building classes such as English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing and cooking to empower themselves and enhance their lives. These classes are not just about acquiring skills; they are about rekindling the spirit of hope, purpose, and happiness in our residents’ lives.
  • Just another day of creativity at ALCF! Our little residents had been unleashing their artistic talents with colorful chalks on the ground. The ground was transformed into a masterpiece, and it’s truly interesting to see their imagination come to life.
  • October was a month of celebration at ALCF!  We had three amazing birthdays of our little residents at our center. We were thrilled to celebrate the birthdays of Vladimir, Ellina, and Goga! ALCF wishes you a year filled with exciting adventures, new friends, and lots of sweet surprises.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • Sam and Nargis Akmakjian touched our hearts with their incredible act of kindness. In memory of Hovik Akmakchyan, they made a generous donation, organizing an outdoor excursion and creating a day of joy and unity for the residents of ALCF and the members of “Feed the elders” program.
  • The residents of ALCF with all Armenians celebrated the Exaltation of the Holy Cross-which is the major feast celebrated in honor of the Holy Cross. Our hearts were filled with joy, gratitude, and a profound sense of unity as we commemorated the Cross on which our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was crucified.
  • The Members of the Child Evangelism Fellowship visited ALCF. They prepared nice holy songs, entertained the young residents with sweets.
  • We witnessed another beautiful Holy Baptism ceremony at ALCF, all thanks to the initiative of Mr. and Mrs. Ghazaryans!  It was a truly blessed day as all the members of our center gathered to celebrate this sacred occasion, marking a new chapter in the lives of the baptized.

 

MYRADOON 

  • Vocational trainings are ongoing. The residents of ALCF take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing and cooking classes. The lessons help them become livelier and eager to continue their lives happier.
  • The little residents of ALCF kicked off their academic journey with a bang. We decided to make it extra special with a delightful Back to School photoshoot! It’s incredible how a simple photoshoot can turn into a memory they’ll cherish forever.
  • Kevork Shadoyan, a fashion designer and painter, hosted an engaging painting class for the young residents of ALCF. Such initiatives can be incredibly valuable for children, as they provide them with the opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves through art.
  • On the occasion of the Independence Day, the little residents of ALCF appealed to the whole world for peace.

  • The residents of ALCF celebrated the Blessing of Grapes (Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary). Together, they offered prayers and tasted the blessed grapes. May the Blessing of Grapes and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to inspire us to be grateful for the blessings we receive and to deepen our connection with the divine․
  • On the inspiring initiative of Mr. and Mrs. Ghazaryans, the dedicated founders of ALCF, another beautiful Holy Baptism ceremony was recently held at our center. This momentous event took place with the blessings of the esteemed priest Father Partev, and the participation of children, mothers from our center and several representatives of our community.
  • Recently Mr. and Mrs. Ghazaryans, along with their fantastic friend Nargiz, teamed up to create mouthwatering burgers for the residents of ALCF. They put their hearts and creativity into every burger to bring us taste sensation that’s truly one-of-a-kind. Our founders understand that the true magic of a memorable meal lies in the company we share it with.
  • The long-awaited container of 2023 has finally reached Armenia. We would like to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude to all the incredible donors who made this possible.

MYRADOON 

  • The residents of ALCF continue to take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing classes and cooking classes. One powerful avenue for transformation is participating in various classes that offer not only education but also a pathway to healing, growth, and independence.
  •  All the residents of ALCF celebrated Nane’s 1st birthday and first tooth. It warms our hearts to see how quickly Nane is growing and becoming a part of our close-knit ALCF family.
  • Օur little eco-warriors took a giant step towards making the world a greener and cleaner place! We kicked off the day with an interactive coloring craft. After the creative fun, it was time to take action! Our energetic little residents armed themselves with garbage bags and determination as they hit the streets for a clean-up drive.

  • As soon as the container arrived to Armenia ALCF started to distribute and help the needy families even in a larger scope. The foundation goes on providing clothes, blankets, shoes, hygiene supplies and kitchen-ware.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • We are incredibly grateful to the Fuller Center for Housing Armenia for taking the time to visit us.  They had a chance to witness the work we have accomplished so far and our plans for the future.
  • On the occasion of the Constitution Day of Armenia, ALCF organized a beautiful photo series with the participation of our youngest children. It is important to instill patriotism from childhood․
  • ALCF had a very joyful day as our residents celebrated the Armenian traditional festival of Vardavar. They splashed water and played together armed with water guns, buckets and water balloons.
  • Our boys at ALCF are getting a hands-on experience in the wonderful world of woodworking! Our founder Mr. Zuhrab shared his experience and knowledge with his sons and grandsons over the years, and continues to share it with the children of our foundation. Under the expert guidance of our founder, they’re learning the art of crafting and creating, becoming handy with tools, and transforming raw wood into beautiful and useful objects.

  • The residents of ALCF continue to take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure, hairdressing classes and cooking classes․Every woman deserves to reclaim her power and lead a life filled with love, respect, and confidence.
  • Our resident Ofelya gave a birth to a boy. All residents wished them good health and bright future.
  • We have started teaching English to the little residents of ALCF during their summer holidays! We believe that language is a powerful tool that opens doors to new opportunities and bridges to other cultures.
  • After months of dedication we’re thrilled to share some amazing news with all of you. Our greenhouse is now bursting with an abundance of tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • The little residents of ALCF celebrated International Children’s Day. Our dedicated team has planned an array of interactive games and activities to engage the children and spark their creativity and imagination.
  • In a heartwarming act of kindness, ALCF recently visited to the Ejmiatsin Maternity Hospital, spreading joy and warmth to the newest members of the community.
  • Our center recently had the honor of hosting some of the students of Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian School with their parents accompanied by Der Karekin Bedourian. During the tour, we told them about the various programs and activities offered by the foundation.
  • ALCF recently had the immense pleasure of attending the graduation ceremony at Ptghunk Kindergarten named after “Mr. and Mrs. Ghazarians”. ALCF prepared presents for the children, making them even happier.

  • The residents of ALCF continue to take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure and hairdressing classes, cooking and dancing classes. ALCF is truly a place where residents can grow, learn, and enjoy a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle.
  • We celebrated Arman`s, Heghine`s and Lusine`s birthdays. They wished them health, joy, love, and happiness that lasts throughout the year.
  • The residents of ALCF celebrated International Picnic Day. They enjoyed a fun-filled day surrounded by nature, laughter, and very tasty food. They danced and played together, enjoyed scrumptious pizzas, delicious fresh baked cookies and tasty sweet corn.
  • The little residents of ALCF celebrated Armenian Flag Day. Our little residents colored the paper hearts with Armenian flag colors, then put them on their T-shirts and walked as soldiers showing and waving the beauty of Armenian flag.

NEWS & EVENTS

  • Armenian Lighthouse Charitable Foundation celebrated Labor Day by doing a fun photoshoot with our little ones, featuring different professions. Our kids dressed up as a teacher, fireman, hairdresser, farmer, soldier, doctor, accountant and cook.
  • We are delighted to announce that our Lavash (flatbread) bakery which was donated by AYF NORTH Valley “ARTSHAKH” chapter is now officially open! After months of hard work and preparation, we’re thrilled to have delicious and freshly baked lavash for the residents of ALCF .
  • ALCF recently had the pleasure of hosting a visit from  Armenian Mesrobian School at our center, It was an enriching experience for both the students and our team. The day began with a warm welcome as the students arrived, accompanied by their teachers and parents. Our team had prepared a comprehensive itinerary to ensure that the students had a meaningful and engaging visit.

 

MYRADOON 

  • The residents of ALCF continue to take part in English, computer, sewing, manicure and hairdressing classes, cooking and dancing classes. These vocational training programs are about empowering our women to rebuild their lives, regain their confidence, and forge their own paths towards a brighter future. It is a testament to their resilience and the unwavering support of our center.
  • On May 9th the little residents of ALCF visited the war memorial to pay their respects to those who fought and died in the war. For many children, this is an important tradition that helps them understand the sacrifices made by their ancestors.
  • The “Hachn” Dance Ensemble invited our residents to their highly anticipated concert! It was a delightful event that brought together women and children from our center, creating a magical atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and cultural appreciation.
  • All the residents of  ALCF celebrated the glorious Ascension of Jesus Christ. Our girls collected flowers from the field, then played “Vichak” and got wishes. And the children praised our staff, in return for which they were treated with sweets.
