Monthly Newsletter February 2017

MYRADOON

This month 4 abused and neglected women found shelter in Myradoon, with their innocent children. At the end of February,we already had 18 girls and 25 children living in the shelter.
We celebrated Armenian traditional “Trndez” with our residents!
Ter Partev did a short ceremony in our church chapel and explained Trndez’s meaning. Then we gathered around the fire, sang some religious songs and started jumping over the fire. The festive mood was continued around the table.
Thank God for His abundant blessings!!!

 AID TO THE COMMUNITIES

ALCF continues its “Light of Hope” program. We distribute necessary items to families in need.
As always, this month as well, we received a lot of letters of requests from individuals who were in dire need of humanitarian assistance. We gave aid to 60 and more families.
The staff went to Taronik and Margara villages in Armavir province. Both villages were close to Turkey’s border and we visited the villages with special military permit. The villagers were very surprised and delighted that we paid attention to their needs and ditributed them bags of clothing, shoes, toys and other necessary items.
We give special attention to the of Syrian refugees and their problems ,we do our best to give a helping hand to all the Syrians.

We visit different maternity hospitals and surprise mothers with presents(newborn clothing, blankets and pampers) for their newborns. This month we gave more than 155 packages to the newborns.
